Learn more about Web-Based Learning

What is Web-Based Learning?

Simply put, web-based learning is any instruction or education via the web (Internet). To take web-based training, all you need is:

  • A computer
  • A web browser – Internet Explorer or Netscape
  • Access to the Internet via dial up or high speed connection

The cost savings of taking courses on-line versus in person is tremendous. That is where we come in. We have taken our 20 years of training experience and incorporated it into the best of on-demand web-based learning.

History of E-Learning

The training industry started with in-person training that was delivered to a group of students at the same time. This training normally involved travel expenses and long stays out of the office (usually 1-3 days). From the late 1980’s to mid 1990’s, people either started using the phone to conduct training, created videos or used Computer Based Training (CBT’s) that were generally distributed on CD’s or as a software you loaded on your computer.

Technology has moved us to the next level. Many companies have saved thousands of dollars using e-learning as a strategic part of their current training programs. With high connection speeds and easier access to the Internet, technology now allows streaming video and audio to web-based modules in order to enhance the learning experience and increase retention of information.
